Great Fish & Chips shop, the food is amazing!! We order for collection. Waiting time was 20 minutes and the food was ready in 20-23 minutes time. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Quick service and didn't wait long at all for food. I would recommend this place to everyone.
Absolutely fantastic lunch!! the staff are all proffestional and attentive. The food was hot and delicious. I emailed Luke a few months ago to see if I would be able to have a celebratory lunch for my husband's 60th Birthday .Luke emailed me back straight away and confirmed my request .Thank you so much for making my husband's Birthday so special.
The thing about the tips...this isn't the information I got from my son, who used to work there. Tips are put in the till and "distributed once a year". My issues are: How are the tips tracked?How do we know they're not going to pay off other things?Why are they distributed once a year when there's such a high turnover in staff? Old staff end up with no tips.By law, as far as I've been made aware, tips are the legal property of the staff.There seem to be some big questions not being answered on this topic. My son used to take in 50+ of tips per night and saw absolutely none of them.
Very tasty food which is always prepared fresh by a dedicated team. There is often a queue out the door, especially on a Friday, which is testament to the quality of the food. I was initially concerned about tips being shared unevenly amongst the staff but I have been contacted and reassured by the owner that this is not the case.
We popped in in here for lunch. The restaurant is well furnished and very clean. Our waitress was lovely, being very friendly and helpful. The food was very very nice. My husband had haddock, chips and mushy peas, which he enjoyed. I had the home made chicken and leek pie, chips and garden peas, which was lovely with perfect pastry. The felt that it could be improved by more chicken and less sauce. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5.
