Great service both times we have been in.Nice outdoor seating area. They do a great pub quiz, welcome pets and I highly recommend the Nachos for a pre-quiz snack!
The food is nice, the staff are friendly and the selection of beers is good. It's even better in the sun because you can sit outside Normally when I like a menu and it changes I'm less than impressed but the changes here have been a definite improvement.
Nice pub, average prices, plenty of seating inside ALSO plenty of seating outside so on those long forgotten summer evenings (this is written in December) its really nice sitting outside. It can get busy but a busy pub is better than an empty pub.
Nice pub. Low ceilings, nice decor and little areas give this pub a pleasant atmosphere. Staff were friendly. There's a great choice of beers and the food menu is decent enough, if not for foodies.
A light and airy pub with space within for drinking and eating. There is also a fantastic outside area.The price of beer is normal for the area but will set you back over 4 a pint. Also the staff like to give a head on the beer for that which I cant stand as I feel Im paying over the odds but not getting a full beer... unfortunately that is inherent throughout Harpenden.There are TVs so you can sit and chat and glance at the tv during quiet moments.The clientele is about early 20s but everyone is welcomed and it is very welcoming all in all.
